As the Covid-19 caused global business disruptions, Harris Products Group’s customers were experiencing severe supply problems. Harris’ teams from across the country did whatever was necessary to meet these demands, with great results. Harris wanted to let distributors know that products were available during these difficult times. However, any PR efforts had to be done cautiously, lest it appear like Harris was trying to capitalize on the crisis.
Geile/Leon pivoted its ongoing PR activities to focus on advising senior Harris executives with a series of communications to customers and industry leaders. Working with Harris’ marketing director, product managers and key distributors, Geile/Leon produced stories and accounts that delivered positive news, valuable information and solutions. As the world struggled to move forward, G/L was able to assist Harris in their efforts to supply thousands of critically needed medical regulators that were used in healthcare facilities, as well as other products and systems for HVAC, manufacturing and other industries throughout the world.
