Forney Industries came to G/L with the goal of increasing brand awareness and message consistency. Through the Green Campaign, Forney spoke to DIYers and welding product retailers everywhere.
Forney’s in-store displays feature the Forney Greenback Program—a promotion that offers substantial rebates on select products. Additionally, the in-store campaign was developed using the ‘80, 8, and 8 rule’: Attracting customer attention from 80 feet away through the use of large signage; merchandising displays attract customers to products that offer the best solution from 8 feet away; and finally, product packaging and other materials communicate the product’s benefits in a manner so the customer can quickly determine them in 8 seconds.
Our “Get it Done” campaign met with great success. Equipment sales grew 2.5 times over previous year and accounts grew 200%. In the second year of the campaign, sales are tracking at 105% and accounts continues to grow.
