Special Event Marketing & Community Outreach

Special Event Marketing – Get Some Consumer Facetime

Special events are an excellent way to expose your business to eager consumers. That’s because (if nothing else) they demonstrate that your business shares their values and is focused on the community. The following is a great example of how one of our clients capitalizes on special event marketing.

Rebel Yell On Site
Rebel Yell Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
is a staple of Southern libations. And each year they focus part of their marketing on special events that correspond with their consumer’s lifestyle. For instance, they annually have a booth at the Gettysburg Reenactment, and they’re also sponsors of the Crappie USA Tournament Trail… both events that fit will with Rebel Yell’s target demographic, and provide great consumer exposure.

Geile/Leon in the Community

One of our great pleasures at G/L is seizing the opportunity to reach out to the St. Louis community and make an impact. Over the last 20 years we’ve been a contributing member to many non-profit and community-based organizations, and following are a few of our most recent community outreach endeavors.

St. Louis Power Hour
In 2008, Geile/Leon brought Earth Hour to the city of St. Louis. Our goal was simple – Get as many St. Louisans as possible to turn off their lights for Earth Hour. The event was such a success that we did it again in ’09, only on a much larger scale, with Busch Stadium as our hosting venue. Learn more about St. Louis Power Hour.

Project Restore
Project Restore
was brought to G/L’s attention by our own Miranda Warren. It’s primary goal is to provide tools to underprivileged communities that will help them become self-sustainable. Project Restore’s marquee projects – Walk for Water, Ambition to Tuition and the Restore banquet – have given G/L the opportunity to reach out beyond St. Louis and help communities around the world.
